- This issue finally reveals why the Green Lantern Corps is banned from the Vega system: a non-interference pact between the Guardians of the Universe and the Psions. Later, it would be retconned that the real reason was because the Orange Lantern Power Battery was hidden on one of the Vegan planets, and the Psion pact was a cover-up.
- In Crisis on Infinite Earths #4, it is revealed that the Monitor redirected some of the solar energy unleashed in the battle between Nimbus and X'Hal to Earth to empower the new Doctor Light.
