Omega Prime, also known as Primus, is the leader of the Omega Men.

History

Three years ago, Omega Prime cut off Lazarus Corp general Sam Lane's legs, prompting his daughter Lois to join Lazarus. Lois quickly rose to be a member of the elite Phenomena Field Team and one of Lazarus' best young agents. When Superman appeared and began his own crusade against Lazarus three years later, Omega Prime was eager to make contact with him and join forces.

In the present day, Omega Prime and rookie member of the Omega Men Alpha ambushed Lois in the slums of Orangi Town in Pakistan. Omega Prime wanted to assassinate Lois but Alpha believed he could convince her that she was on the wrong side. Omega Prime agreed to let him try, but gave him a strict time limit. Alpha was unable to get Lois to abandon Lazarus and so Omega Prime attacked her. While they were fighting Superman dropped out of the sky in front of Lois. Omega Prime ran up to him and asked him to come with them so they could fight Lazarus together, but he simply pushed her aside and ordered Lois to stop looking for him. A squad of Peacemakers responded, but Superman froze them solid and leapt away. The Omega Men took the opportunity to escape and Omega Prime berated Alpha for not killing Lois when he had the chance.

The Omega Men were able to track Superman to Smallville, Kansas and sent Alpha to try and convince him to join them. In Smallville, Superman was attacked by the Peacemakers and an insane cyborg who was able to severely injure Superman with irradiated bullets. Alpha called for extraction and Primus lead a force of Omega Men through a Boom Tube to rescue them. The Omega Men held off the Peacemakers while they carried Superman through. Lois Lane was also there and attempted to follow Superman, but Primus refused to let her come with them and left her behind to be arrested by the Peacemakers.

Notes

• Primus was created by Marv Wolfman and Joe Staton, first appearing in Green Lantern (Volume 2) #141. However, the Absolute Universe version of Primus first appeared in Absolute Superman #4 by Jason Aaron and Rafa Sandoval.
