The Oracle of Delphi, also known as Pythia, was the High Priestess of the Temple of Apollo in Greek mythology. She was blessed the Oracle with the gift of precognition by the sun god, but she could also speak on behalf of the three Fates. There were several women serving as the Oracle, but the true Oracle of Delphi dwells far beneath the temple. Although the Oracle was traditionally a woman, she can change her gender/form according to her will. Oracle of Delphi was adapted by Toni Blum and Arthur F. Peddy, first appearing in National Comics #8 (1941).
