Orion was the son of Darkseid, ruler of Apokolips.
History
As part of a peace treaty between Darkseid and Highfather, Orion was to wed Bekka. The wedding was a ruse planned by Highfather, a ploy to gather all their enemies and get their guard down. Bekka felt genuine love to Orion and tried to save him and led him away from the massacre, but he was ultimately killed as well.
