Oshi Fite, née Sin Gaaz, was the mother of Young Justice member Empress.
History
Oshi Fite was the daughter of Oya, a Haitian Vodou priestess, and Agua "the Baron" Sin Gaaz, a Jamaican crime lord and advanced Voodoo practitioner. When Oya became pregnant, she feared for her unborn child and what her husband would do to their child, and escaped from Haiti to the United States; she gave birth to her daughter in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Oshi grew up in New Orleans and learned the arts of Vodou from her mother. She married government agent Donald Fite and had a daughter, whom they named Anita Fite. While Oshi was pregnant, Oya blessed her unborn granddaughter so she would be a gifted athlete. The Baron stayed out of their life until he attempted to kill Donald Fite, and accidentally killed his own daughter, Oshi Fite. Oya and Donald raised Anita, who later became the crimefighter Empress.
