Our Army at War (Volume 1) with a cover date of February, 1958.
Synopsis for "Push-Button War"
A bombardier is teased by his fellow soldiers for "just pushing buttons". However, during a dogfight, he has to leave his station and man the turrets to keep the bomber in the air, while also helping coordinate the crew. In the end, he cuts it close, but makes it back to his station, looks through the targeting lens, and drops the bombs on target. Back at base, he is again teased for "just pushing buttons", but he smirks with the knowledge of his own competence.
