Synopsis for "Role Call, Part One: Opening Offers"
Following the deaths of Lilith Clay and Donna Troy, Nightwing disbanded the Titans, not wanting to put his friends almost his family, in danger any longer. Now Arsenal wants him to join a group of strangers, having gathered together Metamorpho, Grace, Thunder and, most surprisingly, Indigo, the robot responsible for the deaths of the two Titans, who has since been reprogrammed and wishes to atone for what she did. There is little time to discuss the matter, as New York soon comes under attack by Gorilla Grodd and an army of simian soldiers.

Notes
- This issue takes place three months after the events of Graduation Day, where the Titans disbanded after a rogue Superman Robot killed Donna Troy and Omen.[1]
- Shift appears as Metamorpho in this issue, although it will be revealed that he's not the real Metamorpho but a sentient genetic sample later on in this series.[2]
- Jade, despite being on the cover, does not appear in this issue.
Trivia
- Thunder mentions that the relationship between her father Black Lightning and Green Arrow has been strained since Arrow got her involved in super-hero business through their relationship. This is a reference to Winick's concurrent storyline "Straight Shooter".[3] Eventually Joanna is killed because of this connection.[4]
- Grace mentions having a past fling with Plastic Man, who she insists "has his attributes."
- There is a rare Ambush Bug mention in this issue, as Arsenal jokes that he approached him to join the team.
