History

During World War II, the Pacific Ocean was one of the key settings for major naval battles between Allied forces and the Empire of Japan. One of the unsung heroes who navigated the oceans during this time was Captain William Storm in his Torpedo Patrol Boat, no. PT-47.

The Pacific Ocean was also the scene of a major international incident involving NATO, Aquaman, and the forces of Kobra. Kobra's agents kidnapped foreign dignitaries in order to determine the location of the sunken freighter The Bellerophon. The ship was discovered by the Fisherman in the Marianas Trench.[1]
