Synopsis for the 1st Story
Years ago, Pearl used to practice tattoo artistry on bananas, hoping that her mother would let her start to work on people. Once she got close to being allowed to, but her rash personality and vulgar vocabulary immediately made her mother change her mind.
Today, at her place, Rick Araki is trying different approaches to convince her to go out with him. She has saved his life, but their different allegiances to opposite Yakuza clans convince her to send him away. As he leaves, rejected, she hangs on her centre table while the red tattoo on her left arm glows.
Back in the past, while Pearl still trains to become a tattoo artist under her mother's gaze, it is revealed that Mr. Kai already used to retrieve money from them as a tribute to the Yakuza boss Mr. Miike.
Today, as promised by Mr. Miike, Pearl receives from Kai the list of people she needs to kill as her "first obligation". While her friend Kim tries to understand what's going on, Kai reminds her that this is hardly her first obligation, since Miike has owned her family long before this, when her parents were still around.
In another flashback, as Pearl continues to work on her bananas, she has an exchange with her father that seems to imply that something bad happened to her mother.
Now, Rick is doing tattoos at a club party. Among the crowd and loud noise, Pearl walks with a gun in her hand and determination on her face.
