History

In one scenario for the defeat of an alternate reality's Superman, the Justice League would return to Earth and contract an alien virus that would cause them to go insane. In this case, Billy Batson would share his powers with Pedro Peña as well as his foster-siblings to form the Army of Shazam and fill the void the Justice League would have left.
