In the 1940s, Pen Miller was the world's first and most famous Cartoonist-Detective.
History
For almost ten years, Pen Miller wrote and drew comics based on his own crime-solving adventures, which were published in National Comics.[1] Pen Miller gained his reputation by putting the likes of "Nokky" Ryan and "Gouge" Cahill behind bars.[2]
Miller's studio/residence/library address in those days was 144 Spruce Blvd.,[3] a multistory apartment building.[2]
Pen Miller employed an Asian valet named Niki,[2] who was proficient at Jiu-Jitsu.[4]
Miller had a good friend, named Johnny, in the Federal Bureau of Investigation.[5]

- Pen Miller by Klaus Nordling appears in National Comics #1 through issue #22, then in Crack Comics #23 through issue #60.
- Some time between National Comics #21 and National Comics #22, without explanation, Niki the valet changes names, and becomes Chop Chu the houseboy. His appearance and comical speech pattern remain the same.
