Camelot 3000

Over two thousand years later, Percival was reincarnated as another of the San Greal, one of his own descendants. In his new life, Percival was a dissident against the tyranny of the United Nations. For the crime of dissent he was sentenced to be transformed into a Neo-Man, a mute, near-mindless soldier of the regime. Meanwhile, King Arthur awoke from his long slumber to save Earth from alien invaders and set out to find his reincarnated knights. Queen Guinevere, who had also been reincarnated and regained her own memories, was sent to rescue Percival from his fate and bring him back to join the Knights of the Round Table. Guinevere arrived just in time to restore Percival's memories using a magic amulet created by Merlin, but could not save him from bring mutated. Fortunately, due to the effect of the amulet, Percival was able to retain his free will and personality.

Percival joined the other knights on their asteroid base "New Camelot". He and Sir Tristan, who had been reincarnated as a woman, asked Merlin to change them back into their former selves but he flatly refused. Despite his body being changed, Percival's soul was as noble and pure as it had ever been. He fought bravely for Arthur, using his new strength to his advantage, and won many victories. On one mission, Arthur decided to free the prisoners at the facility where the Neo-Men were created and Percival himself had been held. They were able to free the prisoners who had not been transformed and Percival assumed leadership of the other Neo-Men, who recognised him as their alpha.

Tragedy struck the Knights when Merlin was kidnapped by Morgan LeFay and Arthur's squire Tom was grievously wounded in a subsequent attack. Arthur decided to split his forces; one half would find the Grail and use it to save Tom's life, while the other would take the fight to the aliens and LeFay on the tenth planet of the solar system. Percival was sent to find the Grail with Lancelot while Galahad, who had also seen the image of the Grail in his first life, accompanied Arthur to attack the alien world. Although Percival believed that Galahad should join the quest for the Grail, Galahad was content to have merely seen it. Percival sent his Neo-Men with Arthur to serve as footsoldiers.

Percival, Tom, Lancelot and Guinevere travelled to Glastonbury Tor in search of the Grail. Percival saw a figure in the distance which the others could not and lead them to a hidden cave. There they met the Guardian of the Grail, Percival's own beloved uncle, still alive over two thousand years later thanks to the power of the Grail. The Guardian showed them a collection of objects, one of which was the disguised Grail, and told Percival he must choose which it was. One of the objects was a crucifix, which Lancelot told Percival to grab, but Percival recognised that the true Grail was a simple cube; as Christ was no longer on the cross and had transcended death. The cube unfolded into a cross and then the Grail itself.

Percival used the Grail to heal Tom, who was mere moments from death. The Grail then transformed Percival back into a man and he ascended into Heaven, thanking his friends for fighting for him and freeing him. When the enemy was defeated, his friends erected a gravestone for him and all the others who had fallen in their quest.
