Peroo Island was the site of the Blackhawk Squadron's first post-WWII battle, against a pirate crew of enslavers.
History
Very shortly after the end of the Second World War, a gang of pirates waded ashore at Peroo Island, gunning down villagers and driving them out of their little town. They shot the island's only doctor, and put all the Peroo People to work digging out the island's abundant tin ore. One island dweller managed to transmit an SOS before being murdered, and it was received on Blackhawk Island.
Later that same day many pirates were dead from machinegun wounds and the rest, including their captain, Elosa, were under arrest. This action was the first combat mission for the Blackhawks, after the end of the Second World War. There would be many more.
