Perry White was a lead reporter for the Metropolis Daily Star.

When Taylor retired, both Perry and Clark Kent tried to assume the position, with Kent victorious.

On Earth-Two-A Perry White was the editor for the Metropolis Daily Planet in the 1940s-1950s.

  • This version of Perry White, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
  • Perry White is a character who was originally created for the The Adventures of Superman radio show, and then was later introduced into the comics.
  • Because Clark Kent worked for the Daily Planet in the 1940s and '50s and the established Earth Two history gave no indication that Perry White had been anything but a reporter[1] much of that era was retroactively assigned to Earth-Two-A.[2]
