Philip Master, also known as Acid Master, is a Central City supervillain and enemy of the Flash.
History
At some point in the past, Philip Master gained the metahuman ability to generate acid from his body.
In 2019, Master attacked the chemistry department of a Central City school in order to absorb acid to fuel his metahuman power but was stopped by Flash and his sidekick, XS: because of his powers, Cisco Ramon nicknamed him Acid Master. The supervillain managed to escape but, not long after, he was targeted by the metahuman-killing villain, Cicada.
Team Flash managed to trick Cicada into fighting against Caitlin Snow aka Killer Frost, who was unaffected by his power-nullifying ability, while Master was being sent and locked up into the S.T.A.R. Labs pipeline.[1]
Months later, Master was erased from existence along with all the Earth-1 residents as the universe was annihilated by the Anti-Monitor's antimatter wave.[2] After the Spectre and the Paragons managed to reboot the Multiverse,[3] Master was presumably restored to the existence on the newly born Earth-Prime.
