Phoebus Apollo is the Greek God of the Sun, light, poetry, music, medicine and herdsmen.
History
He is the son of Zeus and twin brother of Artemis.
Apollo inherited power over the Sun from his uncle and aunt, the Titans Hyperion and Thia, after they were imprisoned in Tartarus by Zeus.[citation needed]
The Roman god Apollo is an avatar whom the original Apollo split off from himself to secure the worship of the Latin peoples.
