Synopsis for "The Invisible Invaders"

A spaceship of unknown origin lands at the town of Corn Flats. The Army checks it out, but it's empty, and so they just leave it there. Commonplace objects (chairs, watches, etc.) begin disappearing from the town; some are seen to float along in mid-air, and many of them are later found in the rocketship. The FBI are called in. Plastic Man and Woozy Winks are sent out to investigate, and several days later they arrive in town, and question the townspeople, then set out to look over the alien ship. Plas and Woozy arrive at the rocketship as night is falling, and decide to camp out there until morning then inspect the ship by daylight. The invisible visitors then arrive and carry off Woozy, but Plas gets all stretchy and blankets the area, revealing their locations. The invisible invaders become visible; they're a survey team of two very ugly Saturnian scientists, here to figure out whether Earth is worth invading or not. They can be visible or not, at will, and they carry ray pistols which sting Plastic Man, but he manages to rescue Woozy despite this.

Stymied, Plastic Man and Woozy return to their camp and sleep until morning, when they are awakened by cries for help. The Invisible Invaders are abducting a man and woman. Plas negotiates a prisoner swap where the Saturnians get Woozy and free the young couple, then Plas sneaks aboard their ship himself, disguised as the "ropes" tying up Woozy. Plastic Man pushes Woozy out of the ship and fights the aliens, containing them onboard as he starts the rocket engines, then escaping himself as the spacecraft takes off. Plastic Man seems to regard this development as the end of their Saturnian problem, but Woozy has his doubts.
