Synopsis for "Plastic Man"

Gangster Sammy Mizzola beats up fellow gangster "Eel" O'Brian in an alley way with the help of goons "Brutal" Benny Turlin and "Dizzy" Darren Fitzroy, interrupting his date with an actress named Janet. Leaving him to bleed out, a child named Pado comes by and comments on how badly he was beaten before wandering off. O'Brian stands up and leaps into action as Plastic Man, having gotten a lead in a case he is looking to investigate while allowing his former partners in crime to bludgeon him. As he bounces through the air in the shape of a ball, he remembers having done a heist at a chemical factory with the gangsters and one of them shot him as well as a guard. Plas catches up with Benny and confronts him, transforming into Wonder Woman as a joke and intimidating him into confessing who killed the guard and Benny says that it was Eel.

He goes to his regular job as night shift manager at a superhero-themed strip club and fishes for a date with a dancer but is rejected. Afterward, he heads to his mouse-ridden apartment and thinks back to the night of the heist. This time, we flash back to the guard interrupting them breaking into a safe and Darren has a shootout with the guard, killing him and spraying chemicals over Eel, whose flesh starts melting. They drive away but throw Eel out the window of the car, where he is haunted by the ghost of the guard and awakens suddenly to find someone in his apartment. The woman introduces herself as Obscura of Spyral, and she has come to abduct him. She knows his secret identity and informs him that a vast conspiracy has compromised governments, militaries, and superhero groups across multiple dimensions and she needs his help to bring down the conspirators. He is to infiltrate them to gather data. He gets a call from Benny, who begs him to come quickly, saying that Darren and Sammy are missing and he is scared that someone is trying to get him as well.

Eel transforms into a rocket and leaps away with Obscura saying that she will follow behind. He morphs into a car to drive himself to Benny's only to find his former partner dying. Plas asks who killed him and he writes, "JLA" in his blood. Just then, dozens of police arrive and a woman identifies Plastic Man as the killer.
