Pluto is the Roman god of death and the Underworld.
History
The Roman gods were avatars of the Gods of Olympus, created to further their influence in Latium. Pluto was the avatar of Hades.[1]
With the end of the War of the Gods orchestrated by the witch Circe and peace restored between the Greek and Roman pantheons, Pluto was tasked with watching over the Elysian Fields in the Underworld.[2]
