Synopsis for Destiny: "The Trance-Call Fails"
Roaming around in Main City looking for crime, Destiny hears a gunshot murder take place, yet his "Trance-Call" power doesn't activate, for the first time. This lapse fills Destiny with self doubt, which he puts aside, picks the house from which the noise came, barges in to the crime scene, and starts questioning witnesses. Their stories don't match up, but Destiny is distracted by the failure of his weird ability. But he pokes thru the evidence until he figures out the scam: The murdered man's wife and butler were collaborating on a scheme to fake the murder of the dead man, who was actually already dead, from suicide. Done correctly this would get them a large life insurance settlement. Destiny told the arriving police that he could clear the widow and the butler of the murder charge, and did so, but in the process implicated them in fraud and other charges. They were both arrested.
