Police Comics #51 is an issue of the series Police Comics (Volume 1) with a cover date of February, 1946.

Synopsis for Plastic Man: "The Granite Lady"

Plastic Man heads to a dive called the Red Angel to capture the Myers Mob, which he finds strange that they'd let themselves be so visible when they're so wanted. At the place he learns why: everyone in the room's in love with Sheila Sorrell, the beautiful singer (whose vocal talents don't match her looks, Plas notes). The Myers Mob are so besotted Plas has no problem hurling them all into a paddy wagon. However, he learns Sheila really does have a heart of granite like a suicidal man tells him, cruelly rejecting all her suitors, as her only interest is in joining an opera company.

One spurned scientist decides to get revenge on Sheila by injecting her with a formula that will make the rest of her as hard as her heart. However he's surprised when she's still able to talk and move, and goes out to use her newfound superhuman strength to force her way onto an opera company, killing the theatrical agent with her bare hands when he mocks her talents. She then kills a cop when she tries to rob a bank. Plastic Man tries to intervene, but only manages to fend off her attempts to strangle him by borrowing a cement drill from a road crew. Fortunately, the repentant scientist gives Plas an antidote he uses to restore the villainess to normal, leaving her with no memory of her horrific deeds. Woozy argues to the hero they need to let her go, as the evil Granite Lady was like a Jekyll and Hyde from the sultry Sheila. Who, Woozy is disappointed to learn, is still no more interested in men after being turned back to flesh and blood.

Synopsis for Human Bomb: "Lennarth's Return"

Roy's using binoculars to spy on Zinga, the beautiful redheaded moll of Lennarth, a gang boss soon to be released from Alcatraz. He becomes the Human Bomb and goes to the station to intercept the gangster, but when he accosts the bearded old man he believes to be Lennarth in disguise and is run off, realizes the old woman claiming to be the man's mother was really Lennarth in disguise and slipped through his fibro-wax fingers.

Now that he's out of the joint, Lennarth's got one thing on his mind: getting even with the Human Bomb for putting him away. However his plans are interrupted when Zinga shows up at his hideout, followed by a besotted Hustace. As Bomb searches fruitlessly for Lennarth's new hideout, he sees a massive explosion that could've only been caused by him or his faithful sidekick, and it wasn't caused by him! Lennarth's mob tie up Hustace to throw him in the river, but Bomb shows up just in time to save his partner and take out the mob with a powerful blast. Hustace is upset he didn't help all that much, but Bomb corrects him: by getting the Lennarth mob to attack him, it's conspiracy to commit murder, and they're all being sent up right away.
