Synopsis for "Plastic Man"

Two felons put in prison by Plastic Man have served their sentences and are released, but their first act is to spring through Plastic Man's window and try to knife him in the throat to get revenge. Woozy comes rushing in, trying to help his friend, but only manages to distract Plas long enough for the crooks to get away.

The two crooks hide out in the crowd at a carnival, and notice Stretcho, an Indian Rubber Man with stretching talents rivaling Plastic Man's own. When they see him pick a customer's pocket, they interfere because they have their eye on the same mark. When Plastic Man confronts the two, Stretcho tells the "amateur" to get off his turf, only to be roundly thumped by Plastic Man. The two thieves see this and reach out to Stretcho to join forces.

The wealthy mark next goes on a parachute jump ride, only for it to appear the Plastic Man is trying to cut the cords and send him to a lethal drop. Another Plastic Man suddenly intervenes, revealing the murderous one was Stretcho in disguise. When the criminals are captured, they find their mark had forgotten to cash the check for the money they thought he was carrying, and only had $9 on him.

Synopsis for "The Spirit"

Femme fatale Meda is planning to blackmail the son of a wealthy senator into marrying her, but is shot suddenly on the eve of the wedding. The police investigate, but when Commissioner Dolan interrogates the senator and his son, both of them immediately confess! The Spirit dispatches his trusty sidekick to Meda's house to find evidence he's sure can prove both Gavins are innocent. While he's running to the location, Spirit catches Meda's butler/bodyguard about to waylay Ebony. Turns out he's Silkie Sanders, who was Meda's partner in a seduction blackmail scam they used to run. However, she had a shot at a much bigger prize in the Gavin fortune and was planning to leave him behind. He killed her in retaliation. Spirit figures out that if he really was there to protect her, Meda wouldn't have called the police for protection instead...unless he was the one attacking her.
