During World War II, Pomania was an independent monarchy in the Balkans.
History
In the early 1940s, Pomania was a little-known Balkan kingdom that remained independent while almost every other government in Europe was taken over by the Nazis. The Pomanian army was so small that two Nazi agents were almost able to destroy it, with one burning hay wagon full of dynamite. This happened during a visit from the U.S. head of Naval Intelligence, Admiral Corby.
Eventually the Nazis, commanded by Baron Junker, seized the Pomanian royal palace and arrested King Bhoris and Princess Lovli. The mysterious American agent, Spy Smasher, got into Pomania at this same time, and by using trickery was able to chase Junker and his retinue out of the palace, which was then re-taken by loyal Pomanian troops. A secret plan was drawn up, between King Bhoris and Admiral Corby, that before this war was over, a United Nations army would strike at Germany from Pomania!
