Poppinjay was a demon comrade of Etrigan's.
History
He was a Wing Commander in Hell's Airforce, and led the Bastard Squadron in the battle for the Inferno against the invading forces of the Archangel of War. A squadron of Flying Tigers—a war plane/shark hybrid—flown by the Bastards met the angels head on at the battle's onset. They fought valiantly, but were gravely outnumbered. Poppinjay was shot down by Karrien himself, but in one last noble act, Poppinjay guided his plummeting vessel towards his aggressor. Unfortunately, his kamikaze attempt missed his target and only he perished in the explosion.

Weaknesses
- As a demon, Poppinjay is presumably vulnerable to holy powers and artifacts such as holy water or the Ace of Winchesters. Demons are known to be vulnerable to iron.

- Poppinjay's first appearance - shared with Kakk, Bloodklott, the Baytor and Smegma - was at Etrigan's "hot tub" party to celebrate him becoming Hell's Hitman.
