Synopsis for "Journey Out of Ferimbia"
Ever since she was a little girl, Avice Stanislava had proven herself to be a genius, with an interest in insect life. She sought to replicate the customs and hierarchy of insects with humans, until she was stopped by Superman. Fired from her university, she tried to continue her experiments with animal test subjects, but she was stopped again, this time by Streaky.
To escape persecution, Avice departed from the Earth and made her way to the mystical land of Ferimbia, where she was accepted by its ruler, Queen Adroris Gildrosque. Adroris hoped that Avice would use her talents to protect and heal Ferimbia, but Avice betrayed Adroris and placed a special helm on her. The helm caused Adroris to fall into an enchanted sleep, while Avice used the magic of Ferimbia to enslave its people and continue her experiments. She took control of Adroris' castle and began to kidnap people from Earth, until Power Girl and Supergirl arrived at Ferimbia to stop her.
Unfortunately, in the land of Ferimbia, Power Girl and Supergirl have no Kryptonian powers, so they have to keep a low profile and remain hidden from Avice's forces. As luck would have it, they encounter Epione Pruxism, a bard who offers them safe refugee along the last remaining free Ferimbians. Most of the refugees are children and war orphans whose families were killed or captured by Avice. After a wardrobe change, Power Girl and Supergirl prepare to infiltrate Avice's castle and end her tyranny, hopefully by awakening Queen Adroris.
Upon reaching the castle, Power Girl and Supergirl theorize that the helm Avice used to incapacitate Adroris must be connected to Avice's old experiments with insects. They believe that the helm must be synthesizing insectoid pheromonal signals and replcating them on the human brain and so, they must destroy the helm. To infiltrate the castle, Supergirl proposes a distraction and Power Girl, perhaps obvliously, barges into the castle and takes on Avice and her guards, while Epione and the orphans, aided by a horde of magical beasts, storms the castle. This gives Supergirl an opening to destroy the helm and awaken Queen Adroris from her sleep. Having regained her power, Adroris banishes Avice from her realm, but not before Avice promises to take revenge on Power Girl for her interference.
After the battle and the cleanup, Power Girl and Supergirl are officially knighted as champions of Ferimbia and granted safe passage back to their home. At the same time, the captured citizens of Metropolis are given a choice: return to their original home or make Ferimbia their new home. For now, Ferimbia enjoys peace.
