Synopsis for "Paige Has a Crush"

Paige and Omen are roller-skating together at Centennial Park, with Paige telling Omen about her adventure in Ferimbia along the way. Upon watching Lois Lane also having fun at the park, Paige tries to hide from her, as she hasn't written her column. To make matter worse, Paige doesn't know how to skate, finding it more difficult than flight, so Omen uses her telekinesis to stabilize her. She also asks Paige about Axel, the guy she met a few days ago, and thinks Paige should ask him out on a date. Unfortunately, just as Paige is texting Axel, Brainiac begins his invasion over Metropolis.

Brainiac's drones begin kidnapping every single metahuman in Metropolis, including Omen, Streaky and even Axel. Suiting up, Power Girl attempts to protect Omen, but the drones teleport away, leaving an angry Power Girl to fight a squad of enemy Czarnians all by herself. Unfortunately, Brainiac's forces withdraw from the city and Power Girl is left confused by the recent events. She flies all over the city to find any of her friends, even going to the Kent apartment and their own, but the Super-Family has completely disappeared, except for Superman, who explains that Brainiac had kidnapped every superpowered person in Metropolis. Power Girl must have been ignored by Brainiac's drones because she originated from a completely different universe, so she doesn't register in their scanners.

Superman decides to find a way to find his family, while Power Girl agrees to stay in Metropolis and maintain order. While searching for survivors, she finds a Czarnian girl, Crush, wandering the streets and Power Girl assumes she was left behind by Brainiac's army. She attempts to incapacitate her, but Crush captures her with her chains while the Holliday Girls arrive and surround them.

Meanwhile, in another part of the city, a squad of Czarnians have avoided getting teleported in Brainiac's ship by hiding inside a dumpster. The Czarnians, not wanting to serve Brainiac any longer, take the opportunity to escape from his service and conquer Metropolis. One of them has even seized one of Brainiac's nanoblasters and tests it on one of his fellow Czarnians, but to no effect. He drops the weapon to the ground, which fires an energy beam that turns a motorcycle into a mechanical beast, and the Czarnians sees this as an opportunity to have fun.
