Prince Daka was a Japanese aristocrat and scientist who clashed with Starman and the rest of the All-Star Squadron during World War II.
History
Daka was ordered by the Japanese government to steal American super-technology, especially Starman's Gravity Rod. To that end, he led a strike force consisting of Sumo the Samurai, Kung, and Tsunami against the All-Star Squadron in their base, the Perisphere, taking Liberty Belle captive and demanding the Rod in exchange for her safe return. Daka almost got away with the Rod, but his own allies turned on him due to his shameless lack of honor when he attempted to kill their hostage, and he was forced to return to Japan empty-handed.[1]
