Prince Peril is a villain of both Green Lanterns Hal Jordan and Alan Scott.
History
The council of the planet Myrg chose Prince Peril to marry Princess Ramia. The princess traveled to planet Earth to search for another husband and met Doiby Dickles in Earth-Two. Prince Peril followed her and briefly confronted Green Lantern, who defended his friend Doiby and the stranger princess, but Prince Peril seemingly defeated the defender. Ramia and Doiby escaped to Earth-One, looking for the Green Lantern of that Earth, Hal Jordan, to help them. Prince Peril followed them and also defeated this second Green Lantern, taking the princess and Doiby to his home planet.
Joining forces, the two Green Lanterns then traveled to Myrg, where they found Peril has forced Doiby to dress up like a jester and taken over the planet with his army. The combined might of the two Green Lanterns was enough to drive back Peril's army. Peril himself ended up in prison, and Princess Ramia married Doiby Dickles.[1]
Years later, as part of a "prison rehab plan," Doiby allowed the convicts to learn to play baseball in a recreation of the Los Angeles Dodgers team of Earth, and Peril played as pitcher.[2] However, he had trouble adapting to his new job. During an outburst of rage, he almost killed the catcher. Alan Scott, who was visiting Myrg, interfered and stopped Prince Peril.[3]
