Professor Vultur was an enemy of Captain Marvel, Jr.

History

Vultur was an ornithologist with strong Nazi sympathies, who dreamed of being made ruler of America by Hitler. To show his loyalty and cunning, he planned to use phosporescent carrier pigeons to accompany a troop convoy across the Atlantic, making them sitting ducks for the u-boats. Captain Marvel, Jr. learned of this plan after returning a missing pigeon to him. Vultur himself accompanied the pigeons in a plane, but the young hero managed to corral the pigeons into a net. He then used the pigeons to lead the u-boats onto a reef. Vultur managed to escape in a wing-suit and retreated to his lair.
