Synopsis for "Pseunami"
It's New Years Eve, Y2K, in New York and the Elastagel (a giant slime) threatens to drown the city. Promethea comes to the rescue and uses her wand to communicate with it. Later, she realizes that she needs to learn more about magic and her caduceus (Mack and Mike) begin her journey of "the magic circus of the mind."

- The cover is printed sideways, as is the whole comic, and reminiscent of the science fiction B-movie posters from the fifties.
- Alan Moore scripted the panels so that readers would have to flip the comic sideways. The same concept was used in Swamp Thing (Volume 2) #34, which has a few pages printed sideways as well.
Trivia
- "Where's Waldo?" makes a cameo in the issue.
- The three men in the bubbles on the last page are: Jack Faust, Neil Gaiman and Austin Osman Spare.
