Psycho-Pirate

Psycho-Pirate is a legacy of super-villains with psychological themes.

The original was Charles Halstead, an enemy of the Justice Society who committed crimes based on different emotions.
His successor was Roger Hayden, who wears a Medusa Mask that can manipulate the emotions of others. This mask has arguably driven him insane over the years. Hayden was a member of the Secret Society of Super-Villains until Black Adam killed him during Infinite Crisis.
He once switched places with James Highwater to escape insanity brought in by the mask.

Psycho-Pirate was created by Gardner Fox and Joe Gallagher, first appearing in All-Star Comics #23. (1945)
