Queen of Clubs is a member of the Royal Flush Gang, an old friend of Amos Fortune. She already went by the nickname "Queenie" before joining the Gang, which in part inspired Fortune to come up with the theme. As a member of the Royal Flush Gang, Queenie was an predominantly an enemy of the Justice League, but also fought other heroes. Queen of Clubs was created by Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky, first appearing in Justice League of America #43 (1966).
