The Quintessence is a group of all powerful beings who kept tabs on the order of the universe as lords and guardians of eternity.

History

It currently consists of the Olympian god king Zeus, the universal guardian Ganthet, the immortal wizard Shazam, the extra-dimensional Highfather, and the mystical being known as the Phantom Stranger.

Notes

• The Quintessence is probably meant to be the DC Universe counterpart of Marvel's The Council of God-Kings formed by the godheads of the pantheons of Earth.
• The Spectre could be considered an unofficial member of the group as he has contact with them despite the fact that he doesn't often have direct action or intervention in their activities.
