The R.F. Schreck Criminal Holding Facility is a jail hosting short-term inmates or pretrial detainees in Gotham City, New Jersey. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the GCPD Headquarters.[1]
History
GCPD's Major Crimes Unit detectives Crispus Allen and Renee Montoya were both detained there pending trial after they were charged with holding up a nightclub called "The Kandee Kane", while under mental control by the Mad Hatter. Later, the Mad Hatter orchestrated a massive riot/breakout at the Schreck facility through his mind-controlled policemen, but his plan was thwarted by the combined efforts of Batman, Allen, and Montoya.[1]
Detectives Trey Hartley and Josh Azeveda, also from the MCU, were sent there to question known associates of Mr. Freeze during the investigation of Detective Charlie Fields' death.[2]
Renee Montoya was again sent there after Two Face framed her for the murder of Marty Lipari.[3] [4]
