Synopsis for "Blood Sacrifice"

Ragman (Rory Regan) encounters Zipporah possessed by Marinette. She exhibits the power to tempt the souls trapped within the Suit of Souls, offering them freedom. Rory, with the help of Oungan Legba and Mambo Jean Lizotte, is able to knock Zipporah unconscious. Rory places the Suit of Souls in a safe place and goes with Legba and Lizotte to an Ounfò, a voodoo place of worship. They set about trying to appease Marinette and convince her to release Zipporah. They begin conducting a ritual using sacred Govi, jars of clay that can store souls. As the souls of children who have died from violence and neglect are fueling Marinette, they are attempting to separate her from them. However, Zipporah, possessed by Marinette, exhibits the ability to summon the Suit of Souls. She releases the souls that are trapped within the Suit of Souls. The children’s souls possess the rags of the Suit of Souls and the suit forms around an associate of Lizotte and Legba, causing him to become an evil Ragman. This evil Ragman interrupts the ritual as the evil souls within the Suit of Souls flee and begin wreaking havoc on New Orleans. The evil Ragman shatters the Govi. Rory and the others are stunned to see that the clay within the jars forms a Golem. It is revealed that this Golem is animated by the same entity that animated the Golem created by Rabbi Liebowitz. Liebowitz had created this Golem using the same magic that created the Suit of Souls, when he believed the Suit had been destroyed after World War II.[1] Rory had encountered this Golem previously when it was learned that the magical power could fuel only one of the Suit or the Golem, not both.[2] When Ragman faced the Golem, it allowed itself to be defeated and absorbed by the Suit of Souls so that Rory could continue as Ragman.[3]
