Synopsis for "A Ragged Revenge"

On the night before Christmas, at Rags 'n Tatters, Rory Regan woke up, hearing a sound coming from somewhere in his house. He got up, picked up his revolver, and went to investigate the noise, which he suspected could have been rats. Instead, it was Aunt Mabel, who said that she saw rats moving inside of the Suit of Souls. Rory decided to stay awake and wait until the rats come out of hiding. Suddenly, the suit animated and hit Rory in the head, knocking him off of his feet. In response, Aunt Mable pulled out a gun and shot four bullets at it. However, the suit got back up and attacked her by putting itself on her, draining the life out of her, before returning to Rory. Next, Rory went to his safe to take out a bag.

On Christmas Morning, Betty was outside, singing, when she greeted a man "Merry Christmas", but was ignored. Meanwhile, One-Shot was in the middle of selling drugs to a man, before the former left out of frustration. After he turned away, he saw a bag, the same one that Rory took out, fall to the ground, leaving him distracted and allowing Rory to jump down and attack him as Ragman, beating him up until he agreed to talk. One-Shot did not mention killing Rory's father, much to the latter's disappointment. Ragman left One-Shot behind and later on, a man, the same man who ignored Betty earlier, passed him by.

At a bar, Vorst was growing frustrated over the absence of One-Shot, who was supposed to meet with him an hour prior. Next, Vorst went over to Rags 'n Tatters and found it unusually quiet. Suddenly, he stumbled upon the dead bodies of Aunt Mabel and Uncle Stu and pulled out his gun, going to a door that suddenly shut in his face. Vorst demanded that whoever was behind the door came out on the count of three, but before Vorst could count to three, Ragman sprung out of the door and tackled him, then started to beat him up. Mistaking Ragman for a ghost, Vorst ran away in fear, eventually up to a rooftop, where he encountered Ragman once again, who threw him off the roof, killing him. Meanwhile, Betty was outside of an area where the Gotham City Police Department had located a man who had died apparently from a cocaine overdose. Meanwhile, Ragman entered a man's residence through window and prepared to kill the man who he believe had killed his father. The next day, when Rory woke up, the police knocked on his door. Rory quickly hid his suit before opening the door. The police informed Rory that his aunt and uncle had been murdered. Later that night, Howard Spratt attempted to phone Vorst, who was unable to answer, much to the former's annoyance. Spratt vowed to destroy Rory's neighborhood, which he also once lived in.

The next day, Rory was inside of the shop with Betty, opening up a bag with a suit that his father hid in the junkyard. When Rory opened the bag and took out the suit, he saw the word "emet", which meant "truth" in Hebrew. Rory was confused by this, but associated it with the Legend of the Golem. Suddenly, a rabbi entered the shop, claiming Rory to be his apprentice.
