Ramesses II was a famous Egyptian pharaoh, and is often considered the greatest ruler of Egypt. He is most well-known throughout DC lore as being the inspiration and namesake of Adrian Veidt, who took Ramesses' Greek name to become the vigilante known as Ozymandias. Ramesses II was first adapted in Watchmen #11 (1987).
