During the Cold War, Ramonia was one tiny democracy among the many that were menaced and mistreated by the Iron Curtain countries.
History
In 1954, the Red aggressor nation of Transvania invaded freedom-loving Ramonia. The Blackhawks, on foot, pitched in with the defending army. Blackhawk himself was seemingly killed by an artillery shell. The team withdrew from the area then returned, invading Transvania and rescuing their leader.
