- Energy Absorption: The main function of the belt is to absorb kinetic energy sent at Raquel, and redirect it into the belt's other abilities.[2][3][1]
- Superhuman Strength: The belt makes Rocket strong enough to punch full-grown men through brick walls.[1] This strength is increased as the belt absorbs more energy: for instance, by absorbing the energy obtained from dropping out of a plane, Rocket destroyed a building in a single blow.[2]

Trivia
- When she was attempting to convince Augustus Freeman to become a hero, Raquel workshopped several names for the two of them: "The Prodigy" and "Prodigy Girl" for herself, and "Black Power" and "Black Revenge" for Augustus, before settling on Rocket and Icon, respectively.[3]
