Synopsis for "The Girl with the Anime Eyes, Part One: Under the Hood"

Raven is spending time with her friends from Madison High School at a beach party when she senses someone in need of help. Using her Soul Self, Raven flies through the woods and finds a hooded female running from a group of specially trained soldiers. Assuming that the girl is the victim, Raven attacks the squadron. However, she begins to have doubts about the side that she chose when the girl attacks her with illusions of Trigon in order to escape.

The next morning, Raven returns home to her Aunt's place where she finds the family decorating for Christmas. They invite Raven to join in the celebration, but Raven is still haunted by the mystery surrounding the hooded girl. She does some investigating which leads her to a company called 2morrowTek. She finds the mysterious girl, named Azure, inside the facility attacking its soldiers. Raven catches her and unhoods her to reveal a rather disturbing sight -- Azure has no mouth or nose, and very large eyes.

Meanwhile, Baron Winters has been watching over Raven and comes to the conclusion that she must die on Christmas Eve.

Trivia

Both the names of Raven and Baron Winters were inspired by another character created by Marv Wolfman in 1979 for a comic strip that he created with artist/inker Ross Andru and Mike Esposito. The strip was titled The Unexplained and the specific character was named Raven Winters, a parapsychologist who investigates the unknown mysteries of our world and the universe.
