History

Once the outbreak began as part of Project Cadmus' plague protocols Ray shrank down to study the virus on a molecular level resulting in his own infection. After transforming Ray managed to get inside Captain Atom and infect the seemingly impervious man from within. Ray was never seen again, though he was likely caught in the nuclear explosion that occurred when Captain Atom exploded.
