Rayn Kral was the Thanagarian police force partner of Katar Hol, known on Earth as the hero Hawkman.

History

When a dastardly plan was set in motion by Despero to pit the planets Rann and Thanagar against each other, Hawkman and Adam Strange became outlaws of their respective planets for opposing the war to investigate Despero's involvement. Despite being hunted by the police, Hawkman was aided by Rayn Kral, who showed more loyalty to his former partner than to his employer.

When Despero's plan was in full swing, the Green Lantern of Thanagar Isamot Kol was killed opposing the mastermind, his ring immediately seeking out Rayn Kral to take his place.

  • Longevity: A Thanagarian's life span is significantly greater than that of a normal human being. At one-hundred years of age, a Thanagarian physically resembles a thirty-year-old Earth human.
