Synopsis for "Tales from the Underbelly!"
Falling from a building Red Hood reflects on his past; first as one of Batman's Robins, then as a vigilante and as an Outlaws and how he values Arsenal as being one of his best allies and friends. From a higher window Arsenal fires a rope-arrow to catch Jason and the two recover from their wounds in a L.A. warehouse set up as their make-shift base.
Roy attempts to persuade Jason to monetise their heroics as Tara Battleworth (their employer) storms in shouting about Roy's latest venture; a nation-wide television advert for "Rent a Bat". Having previously hired the duo as a secret contact[1] she cancels their deal as it would be impossible to be covert with them henceforth but Roy still remains optimistic (though he spent all their money on the advertising campaign).
In Italy, Sera Phina watches the advert alongside her resurrected mime army.
Roy eventually convinces Jason to meet a contact with him who reveals that he is working for Underbelly, seemingly a manifestation of each city's seedy corruption and sin. Jason immediately opens fire upon the beast after it slaughters the contact before them, however, as they walk away it reforms and attacks them both. Roy's electric arrow explodes the beast and Todd is convinced that Roy's plan may work if it will help root out a way to eradicate Underbelly for good.
Their first destination, Gotham.
