Synopsis for "War is Hell"
At the Labyrinth, the Seventh Province and prison of Hell, Etrigan leads Hell's army against Purgatory's forces.
Blue Devil, Sargon, and Zatanna walk through the Fourth Province. Zatanna vomits blood as a result of the dark magic she used to bring them to Hell. Blue Devil admits he didn't have a plan for what to do next. Zatanna suggests communicating with Satanus through aural projection.
The Enchantress, Nightshade, and the Ragman arrive near a battle in the Sixth Province. A pack of Creepers grab them and carry them towards the front line. The Shadowpact members manage to escape, and continue running with the crowd until they can teleport again.
Ibis and Black Alice arrive in the Third Province. Alice says that Thoth wanted her to bring Ibis to Hell, but she's not really on their side. She runs away and shouts that Ibis is a Purgatory spy. This draws the attention of bystanders and Forge sentries, who attack him.
Back in the Fourth Province, Satanus' advisors give him updates about the war. They tell him that Etrigan is holding the last pocket of resistance in Labyrinth. Satanus receives Zatanna's projection, then surprises her group by teleporting to their location. Blue Devil explains that he will work for Satanus in exchange for having his curse lifted. He coincidentally mentions that he's powerful enough to fight Etrigan. Satanus suddenly teleports Blue Devil next to Etrigan, and a battle ensues.

Synopsis for "Acceptable Losses"
Doctor Occult and the Yellow Peri run away from Renderers. The metal creatures throw bystanders into a large machine that converts them into brick and mortar. Doctor Occult uses his Orb to make a bright flash of light, and the two escape. Multiple aircraft fly overhead, but one starts to crash towards them. The Yellow Peri opens a grate in the street, and they go underground to avoid getting hit. Doctor Occult puts a magic shield around them to block the rubble and flames. A group of hungry demons gathers outside the shield.
