History
Renee Montoya was a detective working for the Gotham City Police Department, but resigned after a case hot too close to home. She was approached by Vic Sage, who took her under his wing. After Vic passed asway due to lung cancer, Renee took his mask and became The Question.

- This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the video game DC Legends and is an adaptation of Renee Montoya. The original character was created by Paul Dini, Tom Ruegger, and Michael Reaves and first appeared in the episode "Pretty Poison" of the series Batman.

- Renee Montoya is a romantic interest of Kate Kane. An image of Renee, which Montoya stained with her lipstick mark, is an important item to Kane.
