Renee Montoya is a veteran Gotham City Police Department detective who is friends with Commissioner Gordon. She blames Batman for the GCPD's job being so weird, mostly because he's let various children work alongside him as Robin over the years. She doesn't dislike Batman even though her interactions with his Robins often annoy her.[1]
History
Renee years before Damian became Robin
When Jason Todd was still acting as Robin he once jumped in and disarmed a group of muggers Renee was trying to arrest who outnumbered her and were about to attack her. She still finds this memory of being rescued by a smart-mouthed teenager annoying seven years after the fact. When reminiscing with Commissioner Gordon about some of their more annoying interactions with their city's caped protectors she also brings up Stephanie Brown as Robin solving a Riddler case within minutes, and acting like it had been so easy that she'd taken forever even though the police hadn't even had a chance to start making headway.[1]
