Repli-Tech Industries was a failing business firm located in the Empire State Building in midtown Manhattan.

History

The president and CEO of the company was the ambitious Rex Rogan. When Rogan learned that Repli-Tech was going bankrupt, he knew that it would only be a matter of time before the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) learned of the corporation's unscrupulous business practices. Rather than face public humiliation and possible imprisonment, Rogan and his board members initiated a radical program that would grant them all great power. Relying upon the services of his top scientific mind, Doctor Lovecraft, the board members underwent an experiment in DNA manipulation that transformed them into human-animal hybrids. The process gave the men great power, but at the expense of their sanity. Rogan and his cronies used Repli-Tech's rapidly depleting funds to purchase a small island off the coast of Newfoundland. They engaged in a new enterprise, which involved gladiatorial sporting events at a private stadium called the Arena. After an encounter with the Justice League of America, Rogan and his fellow "Ani-Men" devolved into a total animalistic state. As such, Repli-Tech Industries ceased to exist.
