Notes

  • This story retcons Vandal Savage and Resurrection Man as brothers. It also establishes that, in the Post-Flashpoint continuity, Mitch Shelley was empowered by the same radiation that made Vandar Adg immortal.
  • As noted by Shesha, the possible future of "Mathieu Salierre" has been altered due to the temporal changes from the previous issue, making it a direct outcome of the alternate timeline— created by Mitch Shelley's Time Travel— where he became the guardian of the Fractal Microverse.
  • Resurrection Man's flashback with the Phantom Stranger partially retells the events of Resurrection Man #18. In the Pre-Flashpoint continuity, their encounter took place in the Nightmare Realm within the Dreaming; following the Flashpoint, the meeting appears to occur elsewhere within the Godsphere.
