Synopsis for "And Gone"
After making his way to a rest home in Portland, Mitch Shelley begins to remember what drew him there. He discovers that his father Preston, who had been staying there, has died. Sadly, he collects his father's personal effects in the hope that the remnants of his father's life can tell him something about his own past. As he looks through them, a man named Darryl Roth introduces himself, claiming to know something about Preston Shelley.
Elsewhere, Suriel receives a call informing her of Mitch's location, and she leaves in search of him.
Darryl explains that Preston used to work for the FDA, and had told him that Mitch worked in non-disclosure corporate research. Mitch is forced to admit that he suffers from some amnesia, and needs help filling the gaps. Darryl doesn't know much more, but he offers to help search online. As they walk down the halls of the rest home, an orderly pulls Mitch aside and warns that Darryl suffers from Alzheimer's, and has certain delusions. Mitch brushes off the warning. After firing up the laptop, Mitch is impressed by Darryl's web-savvy ways, and wonders what he used to do for a living. Darryl grandiosely announces that he was once a super-villain called The Transhuman, to Mitch's awkward surprise.
In Arizona, the Body Doubles, Carmen and Bonnie pick up information showing that someone in Portland is doing a search on Mitch Shelley. Knowing that Preston Shelley was housed in Portland, they decide to head up to Portland to find Mitch. Packing and rushing out to certain coordinates, a matter hammer shoots down and transports them across the country.
The sound of the hammer coming down in Portland alerts Mitch, and he sneaks out to follow his suspicion. As he runs down the hallway, he comes face to face with the Body Doubles, and though he knows they're trouble, he can't recall whether he knows them or not. In answer, the girls fill him full of bullets. Fortunately, his most recent ability is to turn himself into water, and the bullets go right through.
Angrily, he swells up and uses high pressure blasts to knock the women around, demanding to know who they are. Finally, Carmen smashes an electric lamp over his head, zapping them all. They stand over him, preparing to capture him as soon as he resurrects.
However, instead of resurrecting, Mitch comes to in a strange otherworldly plane.
