Torminox (real name Richard Frank) was a fictional supervillain brought to life by Wally Sage, becoming an ally of Immortus to make amends with his archenemy and daughter Casey Brinke.
History
Fictional Supervillain
Created through the comics of the artist Wally Sage, Richard Frank was a good and humble scientist, having a family with his wife and his daughter, Casey Brinke, with whom he always played on the swing, but due to toxic waste, Richard ended up getting monstrous appearance, causing him to become an evil supervillain, calling himself Torminox.
On a spaceship, Torminox had a conflict with his wife over his plans and attempted to take Casey, however, his wife stopped him, causing them both to fall into a black hole, in which his wife died, sacrificing himself so that Casey could escape on the ship, but through unknown means, Torminox was able to survive and escape in search of starting a universal conquest. Using his advanced technology, Torminox created an army of minions called the Vectra and began his quest to take control, coming into conflict with Casey, who became a space superhero called Space Case and was defeated 143 times by his daughter, returning each time to try to get revenge, but deep in his heart, Torminox wanted to make peace with his daughter despite her evil plans.[1]
Rise of Immortus
In a new comic, Torminox continued his duel with Casey, keeping her prisoner on his spaceship, with a new plan in mind until Wally Sage used his powers to bring Torminox and his Vectra to life. Torminox learned from Wally about Immortus, a powerful deity who could change his past tragedies to live a better life, convincing Torminox to join his cult to bring him back, receiving the mission to obtain the Longevity Talisman as a part of Immortus, which He led Torminox to try to enter Dannyland, who stopped him, but he sent his Vectra to possess the Dannyzens. His attack forced Dannyland to lose his energy, turning him into a cube, before he was reunited with Casey, whom he tried to kindly ask to surrender to obtain the talisman from the hands of the powerful teenager, Dorothy Spinner, who summoned her imaginary friend, the Candlemaker, to deal with it, however, Torminox was able to restrain the creature.
After turning Candlemaker into a cube, Dorothy, Casey and their transgender friend, Maura Lee Karupt, had to flee, hiding in a garage, devising a plan to convince Torminox to surrender, making him remember his past as a human and Casey's father, drawing his attention to a wall with an important painting, an opportunity that Casey used to express his feelings. Despite the gesture, Torminox caught Casey, threatening to kill him if he did not hand over the talisman, angering Dorothy because he was a bad father, agreeing to give him the talisman, making him think about being a bad example for Casey, causing Torminox to free her and return to normal to Dannyland, the Dannyzens and Candlemaker, teleporting from the place. Torminox gave the talisman to Wally, showing his reflection that he must be the man before to reconcile with Casey, something Wally promised him Immortus would do when he rises.[1]
Now operating in the realm created by Wally, Orqwith, Torminox and the cult were in the Sacrarium, preparing the ritual to extract the longevity of a radioactive possessor from another part of the longevity of Immortus, Larry Trainor, who, refusing at first, agreed to lose his longevity. During Larry's ritual, the cult, with the help of the Scissormen, captured the last possessor of Immortus' longevity, Cliff Steele, an angry and mocking robot, whom they took along with other prisoners inside their base, and managed to acquire Cliff's longevity after convincing him to believe in Immortus. The cult eventually brought Immortus back, revealing that he took on the guise of the self-absorbed actress, Isabel Feathers, using his new body to devastate Orqwith, killing Torminox, whose death was a great tragedy for Casey.[2][3][4]
